US District Judge Paul Grimm, a federal judge in Maryland, issued an order to the government to restore the DACA program and all that it entailed before President Trump’s attempted phaseout in 2017. This enactment would accept new applications and protect current DACA recipients, as well as allow Advance Parole that would pave the way for recipients to get a green card. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has maintained discretion and has yet to approve any new applications since the Supreme Court decision in June. Read more from The Washington Post.
